Climate
Prague in June offers comfortable weather, making it ideal for sightseeing and outdoor activities. Temperatures typically range from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F), with occasional rain showers. Visitors should consider bringing a light jacket or umbrella to stay prepared. With over 16 hours of daylight each day, travelers have plenty of time to explore the city’s historic landmarks and vibrant streets.

Currency
The official currency of the Czech Republic is the Czech Koruna (CZK). Exchange rates usually hover around 24-25 CZK for 1 EUR and 22-23 CZK for 1 USD, though rates may fluctuate. Credit cards are widely accepted in most establishments, including restaurants, shops, and hotels, but smaller vendors or markets may prefer cash. Tap-to-pay is the norm in Prague when using credit or debit cards. ATMs are readily available throughout the city for convenient currency withdrawal.

Power Outlets
Prague uses Type E outlets, which are compatible with European standard plugs featuring two round prongs. The electrical voltage is 230V with a frequency of 50Hz. Travelers from regions such as the United States will need a plug adapter and, for certain devices, a voltage converter to ensure compatibility with the local electrical system.

Tipping
Tipping in Prague is customary but not obligatory. In restaurants, it is common to leave a 5-10% tip for good service or simply round up the bill. Taxi fares are typically rounded up to the nearest 10-20 CZK as a gesture of appreciation. Hotel staff, such as porters and housekeepers, generally receive tips of 20-50 CZK for their assistance. Tour guides also appreciate a small tip for providing an excellent experience.
